Baby in the Watermelon - Bacheye tu Hendoune

As I browsed my internet, I saw this video. :)
God made me smile. =)

I Won't Last A Week without You

Good bye PRELIMS.
Hello MIDTERMS.
(in my part)

I didn't expect that this week would be a HAGGARD, STRESSFUL week.

When Monday came, I didn't go home early. Supposed to be, my dismissal would be 6 o'clock but I went home at 8 o'clock because I have school works to do and my part as a part of our school publication. That's my schedule this school week. I've sacrificed my bible study every Wednesday morning for an activity in our school. I usually cry hard to God every night before I sleep. Thursday is our Prelims day until this day. This day, I went to school by 7 o'clock in the morning and the test starts at 12 o'clock. My co-workers in our school publication and I distributed our school newspaper in the whole university.

BUT

Even my school week is too busy, I really won't last a week without thanking Him and without talking to God.

Tomorrow is our Youth Gig and unfortunately, I will not go early in our Church cause we have a shooting tomorrow but I will go to our Church after our shooting.

I've just learned that:

"No matter how tired you are, if we acknowledge God's Presence in our lives by Praying or by Reading His Word, there would never be a day without Him."

Oh.. I miss something this day but I know God has a purpose. =)

"Just TRUST His will, Lay your burdens unto Him and EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT."

A bad start!

Today was the first day of our preliminary exams for the current semester, and it was way too hard! Hard for me because I didn't prepare for the exam. I thought it was just gonna be easy but it wasn't. I was too confident that I'd get the answers to the test so easily 'coz I studied and listened very well during class but as the exam sheets were passed to me, my confidence in answering those questions was lost. I already knew the answers to the questions but my mind just went blank all of a sudden. I don't know why and I don't know how but that's why my confidence was lost.

I had two exams today, namely, English:Public Speaking and Visual Basic.NET. First one is English, I was late for about 10-15 minutes when the exam started, students who are late for 10-15 minutes aren't allowed to take the test but luckily, by the grace of God, my proctor let me in without hesitation and let me take the test. :)

Yes, I took the test and sat in front of the proctor's desk. But when he handed me the test questions, I was like "Oh man!" because I didn't know the answers. There was an identification, an enumeration, and lastly an essay. The identification part, I answered only about 2-3 questions. On the enumeration, I had no answer. Haha, but I urged myself to answer the essay even though that was my only hope in passing the exam, I think! And so, I explained every single question in the essays portion. I just pray that those answers would let me pass the exam. :)

Next was the VB.NET exam. This time I was really sure I would be getting the test since it is just the same as visual basic but NO! We were pretty sure that our teacher would give us an identification kind of test since we only managed to discuss about the 47 different kinds of tools in vb.net but my classmates and I, we were all surprised when we saw the test questions. The test had 10 identification items and 60 enumeration items!

Come on! That's too harsh isn't it? I only got about 20 of the 47 tools and of course I also got the other items but enumerating the 47 tools wasn't what we wanted. LOL :)

Every Monday morning, I always go to the prayerworks of our church, but today, I didn't have the chance to go. I woke up at 2am in the morning and I decided to sleep for about 30 minutes only since the service will come at 4:30. And so, I fell asleep but at around 4:55 my friends were calling me on my phone and I woke up. When I reached for my phone, I realized that I was too late so I didn't try to go and catch up with them. I continued my sleep then.

And just now, I realized how important it is for us to start our day in prayer. Without me going to prayerworks today, my day went bad, and maybe the whole week too. But God would always be faithful, He won't let us be harmed. :)

Always start your day with a prayer and everything would be alright!

Comfort and Power by Jeanette Wilson

As I browsed my facebook, I saw this story. :). Allow me to share it to you. :)

A child was telling her Father that her Brother had just saved her life. Her Father was very pleased and her Brother smiling said, "Sister, I have a gift for you. He will be with you forever." And He gave her a horse who was magnificent. Her brother said, "I have named Him Comfort and Power."

Her Father looking on said, "Here is a book of instruction. Go and tell everyone what your Brother has done for you. Whenever you want you may return and refresh yourself and also Comfort and Power. Then we can visit."

The child in her excitement, quickly grabbed a bit for Comfort and Power and led Him with the reins. She thought I can go in any direction, left or right or straight ahead. She would miss Father and Brother but she had Comfort and Power to accompany her.

She chose the left path. Her heart was so full of joy that she felt very powerful. The further she went she noticed that Comfort and Power grew weaker. It was a struggle for her to control Comfort and Power. However, she wanted to please Father and Brother by doing what they had asked.

She saw a group of people ahead gathered in a field. So, she ran toward them dragging Comfort and Power with her. When she started to speak her words were all mixed up and she was sorry she could not express the joy she felt in her heart. The child managed to tell what her Brother had done for her and wanted the people to come and see Father and Brother for themselves. But, the people looked at her with confusion and no enthusiasm. She and Comfort and Power left.

By this time it was getting dark and the child was very tired. She did not understand why the people did not receive her news with great joy. Comfort and Power was weak and she remembered what Father had said, "Come and refresh yourself along with Comfort and Power whenever you like."

The child missed Father and Brother. Comfort and Power did not seem very comforting or powerful just now.
She looked around and realized she had forgotten the instruction book Father had given her. Suddenly she felt so alone. But, a small still voice who thought was her Brother said, "Release control of Comfort and Power. He will lead you home."

The child climbed on Comfort and Power's back and let go of the reins. Suddenly, He was very powerful and took the child straight to Father and Brother. It was so effortless that they seemed to have wings.

At once she saw Father with His arms open wide and Brother on His right praying for His sister. She saw the instruction book still in Fathers' hand and realized how foolish she had been to think she could go and tell without it.
They ate and visited together and the child and Comfort and Power were ready to go and tell as Father and Brother had asked. Father said, "Child, you cannot do anything by yourself and in your own strength. This is why Brother saved your life and gave you Comfort and Power. Trust in Him. He will empower you for your task."

The child was very happy and started the second day of her new life with Comfort and Power in control which she received from her Brother and the instruction book that Father had given her.
Suddenly, she found herself on a mountaintop. There she soaked in the book Father had given her. Oh how wonderful and nourishing the words were.

At times she experienced much sadness over faults and failures of hers pointed out in the book. But, it was not long until waves of forgiveness swept over her and a new understanding developed in the child's heart.
Comfort and Power was helping the child understand the book and they would talk about it and visit Father and Brother often.

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months as the child prepared to serve others as the book instructed. Comfort and Power was teaching and empowering her just as Father had said.

There was a continued longing and desire to go and tell others about Brother. She knew that Father had placed it there in her heart. The desire to tell others became stronger and stronger each day. It was like an aching in her soul that would not go away.

The child looked down in the valley and noticed people wandering around as if lost. She and Comfort and Power went to see Father and Brother and discuss what she should do.

Holy, Holy, Holy. The child had not noticed before the holiness of Father and Brother. The light shining forth from them was so bright she found herself on her knees in worship. She started to sing like she never knew she could and soar as if one in flight. Father God, Holy, Holy, Holy. Brother Jesus, Savior, Friend, Lord, Alpha & Omega, Bright and Morning Star, Holy, Holy, Holy. Comfort and Power was giving the child new understanding, a new language, and new sight of beings in the heavenlies.

She did not want to leave. Oh what bliss. This was her future. Comfort and Power told the child there would be many visits like this but she was needed back in the valleys and yes even the mountaintops where she could tell other. Remember, Go and Tell.

Still the child did not want to go back. She wanted to please Father and Brother though, so she asked Comfort and Power to give her the strength and wisdom to go back and tell others about Brother.

Brother said, "There are others like you. I want you to go and encourage them. Visit and fellowship with them as you do with Father and I. We are all One. There are some on the mountaintops and some in the valleys. Share with them My message of go and tell to the remotest parts of the earth. Time is short. The time is now. Hurry new and Comfort and Power will show you the way. Just ask and it will be given unto you, seek and you will find Me always."

The child felt the longing in her heart again, just like before. She knew it was the same longing as Father had in His heart. Allowing Comfort and Power control of her life, the child set out to find the others as Brother had asked.

to be continued.....
Father - God
Brother - Jesus
Comfort and Power - Holy Spirit

Major Food Battle

Last Wednesday, our school held its annual Club Day and one of the activities that were held that day is a food competition. It was the first time for the school to hold this event since we didn't have an HRM course until this year.

In accordance to Nutrition month, we were asked to serve a dish that is nutritious and at the same time, very cheap. The said event happened at around 3pm, and my classmates are the ones assigned to cook the dish. We had to think of a dish that is nutritious, cheap and very interesting plus something that is not usually seen. This is our finished product:

And here are the other dishes made by other sections:

Yummy aren't they? Well, who do you think will be the winner of the said event?

The winner of the competition will be announced on July 24 during another event at Klub Bossa. And I'm hoping for our section to win, although I don't know about the prizes but getting our section to be noticed would be great too since we are the only section that have a different course from all sections.

A Letter :)

Dear Friend,

I just had to write to tell you how much I love you
and care for you.

Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing with your friends.
I hoped that soon you'd want me to walk along with you, too.
So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a
cool breeze to refresh you.

I waited .... you never called. I just kept on loving you.
As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted so much
to touch you. I spilled moonlight onto your face, trickling
down your cheeks as so many tears have.
You didn't even think of me.
I wanted so much to comfort you.

The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise
into glorious morning for you. But you woke up late
and rushed off to work. You didn't even notice.
My sky became cloudy and my tears were the rain.

I LOVE YOU!!!

Oh, if you'd only listen. I really LOVE you.
I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the
vibrant blue sky. The wind whispers my love throughout
the treetops and spills it into the vivid colors of all the flowers.
I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and
compose love songs for birds to sing for you.
I warm you with the clothing of my sunshine and perfume
the air with nature's sweet scent. My love for you is deeper
than any ocean and greater than any need in your heart.
If you'd only realize how I care.

My dad sends his love. I want you to meet him.
He cares, too. Fathers are just that way.
So, please, call on me soon. No matter how long it takes,
I'll wait forever.

Because I LOVE YOU.

Your Friend, Jesus

- God bless. :)

Be There For Your Friends.♥

While browsing at my facebook, I saw this one of my tagged pictures:

I remember the song: Live Like We're Dying by Kris Allen. Just hug someone today, forgive today, love today, cause we may not know that maybe, maybe tomorrow it would be our last day.
Treasure your friends, your family can be your friends.
So I think that we should cherish every moment, we should not waste our time. :)

The "I LOVE YOU" Formula

Well, this is new and it certainly proves that I LOVE YOU! :)

I just saw this photo from a fan page in Facebook and I just wanted to share this picture with you guys. If someone doesn't believe you if you are telling them you love them, then show 'em this equation and share the expression they give you back. :)

Maybe an engineering student, a mathematician, a total genius or just someone who is deeply fallen in love made this. It's very nice right? I'm not that good in Math but now that math can prove that i<3u, I am loving math all the way. :)

I'm Proud to be a Filipino!

Hmm, I have read an article hours ago. The article writer or the owner of the blogsite is a fellow Filipino of ours. But, why am I writing about this? It is because, I am just upset and I just bursted with anger as I finished reading the article. Before, I didn't notice about the site's URL because someone just posted the article on my Facebook wall and of course, I like to read articles so I went for it. I read it on my mobile phone so I didn't see the URL.

The URL of the blog site is antipinoy.com and I forgot the owner's name. If you are a Filipino and see this URL, you would really be angered at it already that's for sure! The article I read was entitled as "Is the Filipino a stupid creature?" and I was shocked! If you want a link then here's a link: http://antipinoy.com/filipino-stupid-creature/

You can read all you want and comment all you want but we can't do anything about it unless we report it to wordpress. I didn't think that anyone would be this *stupid* (excuse for the word) to go and be a racist among his own people. Come on! Yes, I give him a clap for speaking out the truth about us but he's doing it in a wrong way. Yeah, he has written a blog, but does he do something about it? like maybe, teach other fellow Filipinos on mannerisms and is he following the government rules?

One thing I also don't like about this person is that he is talking like ALL the Filipinos are like this and that but the truth is not all of us are like that. I know that all of us wants to start changing things but everyone's just scared. Scared that their friends or their families would laugh at them. Not just the Filipinos but everyone in the world wants to change a thing or two, right?

One more thing, why do some people go and do things like these?
Aren't they proud that they are of their own blood and nationality?
I don't even care what your nationality is, as long as you're kind, you love God and you are my friend, that's good enough for me!

I am proud to be a true-blooded Filipino and I'm not ashamed of that! I would do the best I can to support my parents and all the people around me. I am a christian and I will follow God. God has a heart that loves everyone, even if we are sinners, He still loves us no matter what! There isn't anything that we do in this whole wide world that would gonna make Him loves us less!

Cheer up guys! Let's just hope and pray for these person/s and let them see their foolish ways. :)

Evening is here again and I stared at the clock, and it's already past 11 in the evening (following GMT+8).
My mind run out of words to say, my body is too tired but my hands want to post something.

Well. I don't where this blog of mine leads but I will ask one question:

"What's your purpose here on Earth?"

Comments are open but please DON'T DEBATE. :)

We may have different perspective about life, we may have different answer but please, respect one another.
As the saying goes, "Respect begets respects."

Just feel free to answer the question. There's no right or wrong answers. =)

If you're going to ask me, I will answer, LIVING FOR GOD'S GLORY. =)

Feel free to answer. :)

The Room by Joshua Harris

Let me share an excerpt from the book, I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features save for the one wall covered with small index-card files.

They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endlessly in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I Have Liked." I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one.

And then without being told. I knew exactly where I was. The lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in detail my memory couldn't match.

A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their contents. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching. A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I Have Betrayed."

The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird: "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I Have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed At." Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've Yelled at My Brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in Anger," "Things I Have Muttered under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents. Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes there were fewer than I hoped.

I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in twenty years to write each of thousands, possibly millions, of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked "Songs I Have Listened To," I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of music, but more by the vast amount of time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed contents. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded.

Suddenly I felt an almost animal rage. One thought dominated my mind: "No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this! I have to destroy them!" In an insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took the file at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.

Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh. And then I saw it. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could not count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that the hurt started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key.

But then as I pushed away the tears. I SAW HIM. No, please, not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but JESUS.

I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have read every one?

Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with hands, and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arms around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room. He took out a file and one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card.

"No!" I shouted, rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No,no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood.

He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and continued to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished."

I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

"It is only by repenting of our sins and putting our faith in Christ that this substitution can take place. We each have a 'room' containing all our sinful deeds and thoughts. But just because we admit this or feel bad about it doesn't mean we're forgiven. Remorse can't save anyone. Only faith in Christ can. Only trust in His death and resurrection for us." - Joshua Harris
